Description: This course explores the basic principles and concepts that apply to hand therapy. The subject matter is based on physical medicine, osteopathy, chiropractic and massage therapy. The course covers the basic protocols for treating hand injuries, preventing hand injuries, and self treatment.
Goal: Health care professionals who complete this course should be able to identify and treat many of the common soft-tissue impairments that affect the hand. In addition to outlining methods for treating carpal tunnel syndrome, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, lateral epicondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis.
